Half day excursion to Ayutthaya with Japanese speaking guide. Transfer by coach to Phra Nakhon Sri Ayutthaya. The city was the royal capital from 1350 to 1767 and by all accounts was one of the most splendid in the Orient. A Burmese invasion in 1767 saw the city ruined and abandoned. Visit the historical temples, including the still impressive remains of Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, Wat Maha That and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet. Take an elephant ride just as the monarchs of old would have done. Return to Bangkok by coach.
