Discover one of the most beautiful Mayan cities and the only one overlooking the Caribbean Sea and then visit the largest natural aquarium in the world.
We start this tour in the impressive walled city of Tulum, overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea. Tulum is thought to have been a major Mayan Port. You will see: the Temple of the Frescoes, elaborately painted on the inside and decorated with masks on the four cornices; the Temple of the Descending God, with a bas-relief carving of the god Itzamna on the facade and El Castillo (The Castle), built on a 12 metre tall cliff facing the sea and commanding splendid views of the coast. We then continue to Xel-Ha National Park, where nature has created incredible caves, inlets and lagoons. This is the perfect spot to relax as this natural aquarium is famous for its thousands of brightly coloured tropical fish and dramatic limestone formations, simply, a paradise for snorkellers, an activity which you will be able to enjoy on your own or with an optional guided tour (not included).
