Nile Air organization – Mission Statement

Nile Air is the leading private Egyptian premium airline flying scheduled flights out of its two hubs, Cairo (CAI) and Alexandria (HBE), to cities in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait city. Nile Air started operation in March 2011, with two leased young Airbus A320s, each of which is configured with 8 business and 156 economy seats. Current Nile Air schedule includes flights from Cairo to Jeddah, Yanbu, El-Gassim, Taif, and Tabuk, flights from its second hub Alexandria to Jeddah, Yanbu, El-Gassim, and Kuwait city. The airline also operates a seasonal service connecting Luxor to Kuwait city. The airline is established for the main purpose of offering regular and charter air transportation services for passengers nationally and internationally.

Nile Air will not only capture existing air travelers but more importantly stimulate overall market demand by making air travel more accessible to those markets segments that have been historically overlooked.

Company History and Form of Ownership

Nile Air is an Egyptian Joint Stock Company established in 2008 according to the provisions of the Investment Law number 8 for the year 1997 and its executive regulations. Nile Air is mainly owned by Dr. Nasser Al Tayyar, President of Al Tayyar Group, a prominent travel agency based in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with strong existence in the Egyptian market through affiliate companies.

By the end of December 2013, Nile Air joined the AACO (Arab Air Carriers Organization) and became its 31st member. AACO is the regional association for the Arab airlines. Its vision is to stand out globally as the association that serves with dedication its members and be instrumental in dealing with an evolving aviation industry.

Its mission is to serve and protect Arab Airlines common interests and be the catalyst of their cooperation. AACO is the association of 32 Arab airlines based in the Middle East and North Africa. The Arab region's air transport market is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. AACO members have been growing in double digits for the last seven consecutive years despite the downturns that affected the industry.

During Q1-Y2014 Nile Air increased its presence in Saudi Arabia with the addition of a new service from its Cairo (CAI) base to Jeddah (JED) on 11 March.
